Over 450 people (from 21 states and Canada) spent 3 great days together at the Cavalier Hotel and Conference Center in beautiful Virginia Beach!

Wednesday was devoted to two special pre-conference seminars:  TJEd for Latter-day Saints and TJEd for Latter-day Saint Youth.  All who attended the "TJEd day" were inspired and well-taught by wonderful speakers who shared their Thomas Jefferson Education expertise.

The next two conference days were filled with classes covering a wide variety of important topics for homeschooling families.  Special sessions focused on math, science (remember Dr. Wright, the cool "Science Guy"?), parenting and bringing the gospel into our daily teaching.  Many attendees loved the panel discussions, where they got to hear how other "real" homeschool moms and dads tackle the same challenges they deal with.  As always, the Youth Conference was a huge hit, allowing our youth to make and strengthen friendships, while being inspired by our very best teachers.

Judging from the post-conference surveys, the 2008 conference was a powerful experience--one that was transformational in the lives of many who attended!

Chad's powerful life story and positive attitude captivated us all!  By the end of his talk, the entire vendor hall (including vendors!) had cleared as EVERYONE wanted to gather where Chad was speaking.  The youth were especially drawn to him.  Many said they were forever changed by his message of hope, perseverance and courage.
