Beginners' Seminar
Wednesday, May 28th 1:00pm - 5:30pm (half-day)
Beginning anything new can be difficult. You can feel excited one minute, and apprehensive the next. When the new adventure in your life is homeschooling your children, it can be particularly overwhelming. That is why we have prepared a special half-day seminar aimed specifically at the needs of new and beginning homeschoolers. Whether you just considering the idea of home education, or are raring to go, this seminar is for you.
We remember what it was like to begin teaching our children at home, and so we’ve put together the classes that we wish we’d had when we were just starting out. You will hear from inspiring and experienced homeschoolers and get their best tips, insights and ideas. You’ll also learn about basic homeschooling philosophies to help you determine which approach will best suit your family’s needs. And finally, you will receive the benefit of countless years of hard-won wisdom from our veteran panel, who will address the most commonly asked questions of new and beginning homeschoolers.
We hope that this special seminar will help answer many of the questions and concerns you have and leave you feeling motivated and inspired. Most of all, we want you to leave this seminar knowing that you can do this.

"This conference was very helpful and motivating. Many of the talks validated my brand new decision to home school and helped me feel I can and must homeschool for the benefit of my family. Before coming I felt it was a good choice to homeschool, but now I feel it is right and I'm excited to start. I want to come back next year even though I'm moving west. Thank you for your prayers and hard work putting this together."
“The beginner’s seminar was fabulous! Just what I needed and came to find out about.”—2007 Conference Attendee
